Newborns are the best. Their unconditional love for whomever happens to be holding them. Their undeniable curiosity and glee for each new discovery. Melts a person’s heart instantly and brings a joy that cannot be measured any other way than Godly.
No. I am not pregnant. No. My kids are not pregnant. However, He has put this image in my mind of a newborn. I am pretty sure NO ONE thought that I would be starting one of these like this without a new addition, but … here we are.
When there is a newborn in the room, everyone (to some degree) takes notice. The presence of a newborn creates an atmosphere of calm and peace. Even if the newborn is upset. Why? Because they are the essence of God. Newborns are God’s love revealed. Each newborn child gives off an energy that refreshes and rejuvenates adults. Each newborn is a reminder of who God is. Because that child is God’s love, everyone feels and connects to that energy.
I challenge you to show me where I am wrong in this direction.
Even those who are not kid people. Even those who are not God people. Even those who are bitter all the time. ALL will connect to a newborn. They cannot help it. How they openly respond, that is their choice. But they ALL connect.
When I am scrolling my videos, I will pass political stuff, human interest stuff, even God stuff…but I will not pass baby stuff. Even through a phone or computer screen, babies announce and project God’s love. They are the reminder that He sends us to remind us that Love still exists.
As today continues and the enemy tries to plan our mood with negativity, remember that we are commanded to come to Him as a child. He has given us a multitude of avenues to refresh our inner kid/baby. Take hold of the Father’s delight in the love that a newborn gives off and make way for your newborn day to begin. Simple and full of Love.
