Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.

Yesterday I talked about the newborns and their unconditional love for those around them. Today, let’s talk about their evolution into little people. Their excitement and awe of learning new parts of their bodies and molding of their brains.

Babies get fixated on one thing or another. They see their hands for the first time and examine their appendages closely for each and every detail. Not only do they use their eyes, they use their sense of smell, touch, and taste. They use every aspect of their tiny bodies to explore and examine these new discoveries. With each discovery, they are marveled at the new treasure. With wide eyes of excitement and awareness, they investigate each nuance of each unveiling. They do so with an innate desire to learn and become familiar with this new phenomenon.

What would our lives be like if we did the same thing? What would our lives be like if we did that with God’s Word?

Now, don’t get me wrong. When God reveals something new to me in my reading or listening, I am a newborn all over it trying to find all the nooks and crannies about it, so as to fully understand it. But what if we actively sought that revelation? What if we actively sought the secrets of His leadership in all that we do and say?

We all, Christians that is, seek him daily, but … do we always act as a newborn discovering our toes for the first time … or do we act like an old person who knows it all or can’t believer we didn’t see it before? Instead of putting ourselves on a pedestal or kicking ourselves to the grave, what if we become a newborn and enjoy the marvelousness of all He has to offer? When things are opened to us, lets study the situation as though we are a newborn with a brand-new thumb … one that has always been there … but we just found it today.

That is my goal from here on out. I want to see and seek His guidance from the point of view of a newborn. I want to embrace his wonderfulness with awe and unfettered assurance and faith. The thought of learning through the eyes of a newborn, gives me new life. I hope it does you too.

Be blessed today my friends.

*** I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit[a] of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength – Ephesians 1:17-19
