The Bible God's Indisputable Authority
So they answered Jesus, “We do not know.” And he said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things. ~ Matthew 21:27
John carried out his preaching and baptizing activities without seeking or obtaining the authority and approval of the Pharisees. He operated independently, driven by his own convictions from God, the only indisputable authority, rather than by the expectations or regulations imposed by the Pharisees in power. This autonomy meant that he was not beholden to their oversight or judgment. His lack of obligation to answer to the Pharisees underscored his commitment to his mission of serving God and highlighted the contrast between his grassroots approach and the institutionalized practices of the religious establishment. In essence, John’s work was characterized by a profound sense of independence and a direct connection to his spiritual calling from God, unencumbered by the constraints of the Pharisees traditional authority whom may I say had strayed from the truths of Gods word plus they were adding there own man made laws to it.
My point is, as followers of Jesus Christ we are to know the truths of the Bible (God's word) and not stray from it being deceived by charlatans who are out for their own personal gain.
I am coming soon. Hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize your crown. ~ Revelation 3:11
