The process in our journey of the life in Christ, will be at times painful even to a point we will think we cannot bear it. There will be times of sufferings, trials, battles and storms, but when when we are fully consumed by the Father, it WILL NOT, and cannot break us.
There will be many mountain top experiences, but the reality is, we can’t live there. We must embrace the journey of the wilderness, the desert and going through the valleys.
We weren’t called to be comfortable (just take a look at the men of God in the Bible, who chose to follow Christ, forsaking their personal desires, to fulfill the call on their lives.
Pastor Bryan Jones, of my church (Revive Church Mobile) started the year off talking about the body separating the flesh and the spirit. I feel Holy Spirit saying:
The difficulties, wars and trials, even though they will come; it will be our flesh that is affected by the pain and suffering that comes with the call. We don’t want to experience these things, and if we allow them, they will hinder, and may even stop us from walking in the Father’s fullness.
This is why we must be led by the Spirit at all times and not by the flesh. We live in this flesh suit, so there will be times when we will miss the mark, and fall short, but we must continue to get up and move forward.
Here’s the exciting news. Your spirit man (who you are) will not be affected by anything that the world, life or satan can throw at you.
This is how we can walk in obedience, and the fruit of the Spirit ( Galatians 5:223-23 Read it!). When you get the revelation of separation of the spirit and the flesh, you will become the most powerful force against the kingdom of darkness, and for the Kingdom of Yahweh that exists.
We are called to take up our cross daily (willing to suffer for the cause of Christ), deny our selves (our wants, needs, desires, and dreams), and follow Christ. How do we truly follow Christ? We do it by following the Word (Yeshua is the living Word of Yahweh), (Matthew 16:24-26), and heeding the voice of Holy Spirit.
I’m telling you what I know to be true; once you get a hold of this revelation, nothing that you face, comes against you or you will deal with in this life, will affect you. You were not created to carry the burdens and heaviness of life.
“Simply join your life with mine. Learn my ways and you’ll discover that I’m gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in me.”
