The Solitude of Prayer
Matthew 14:22-23
(22) And straightway Yahwah Messiah constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away. (23) And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.
Messiah showed us a great example of quiet time in prayer. Messiah sent his disciples and the multitude away and went into a mountain to pray. Do we do this? Do we shut out the world, family, and friends to have some quiet time with Messiah? To share our heart with Yahwah? He already knows our heart.
Luke 16:15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but Yahwah knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of Yahwah.
Messiah instructs us how to pray…
Matthew 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Notice it gives us three steps here.
1. Enter into thy closet
2. Shut thy door
3. Pray to thy Father which is in secret
Yahwah wants us to shut everything else out and have some quiet time with Him! He wants us to talk with Him and He wants to talk to us!
I want to encourage you to take time each day for prayer. Don’t rush through prayer. Speak to Yahwah like you would speak to your spouse.
Yahwah Bless You!
