I went fishing years ago with a Baptist minister friend of mine. After we had been fishing for a while I had caught several fish and he had only caught one. He asked me how I was catching so many more than him. I pointed to my can of worms and said, “It’s my special worms”. “What do you mean special worms”, he asked. I told him I had dug them up by the church and that Pentecostal worms wiggle more than Baptist worms. We both had a good laugh.

Having the right bait is important when you want to fish. But even more important than catching fish is desiring to be fishers of men. Jesus said in Matt. 4:18-20 “And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. And they straightway left their nets, and followed him”. If you want to fish for souls Jesus is calling you, and all you have to do is follow Him. I promise you he will supply the best bait, so let’s go fishing!

Matthew 4:19 And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

Luke 19:10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
