Prayer is undoubtedly a very powerful weapon that we children of God have; It is one of the spiritual disciplines that everyone born again, every believer, must have, no matter how many years or days you have been believers, prayer must be practiced as a lifestyle, following the example that Jesus gave us while he was On earth, prayer was a way of life for Him, says Luke 22:39 KJV.
And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.
One of the many benefits of prayer is that it brings us closer to the presence of God, it helps us to know Him, to know His voice, and to identify when it is really God when He speaks. The more time I dedicate to prayer, the more I know. the voice of God, a second benefit that prayer has and that is that it helps us not fall into temptation, Luke 22:40 And when he was at the place, he said to them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation. and in verse 46 again Jesus himself mentions that prayer helps not fall into temptation, 46 And he said to them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, least ye enter into temptation. ; and a third benefit that prayer has is that we are strengthened in prayer, I have personally experienced how I am renewed and strengthened in the midst of prayer, it is surprising how the forces of the Father come to me, Luke 22:43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.
