Have you ever heard someone say; be careful what you pray for?
Like, oh, be careful about praying for patience for example. If you pray that, the Father will take you through a hard time, so you can learn patience.
I truly believe that is a load of religious crap, that has nothing to do with our relationship with the Father.
In the first place, that is a form of fear! Imagine being afraid (or even concerned woth) of going through something to receive what the Father desires us to have (I’m not just talking about patience here).
That’s not Who our Father is or how He operates. Now, with that being said; yes there are times He allows us to go through, experience and even suffer for His divine purpose, but you are not to walk in fear that these may or not happen. You will have boldness, strength and power to walk through anything He leads you to walk through. And yes we do learn in the midst of circumstances, and there are times that we will go through things to give us understanding about the call on our lives, but we dont have to fear those things.
When I began this, I talked about praying for something and being concerned about going through it that we might learn something. The way I see it, we must desire everything the Father has for each of us, but we dont have to be afraid of what it will take to receive it. We must have an attitude of embracing what we achieve by going through the things He takes us through, and to be excited about receiving what He desires for us to have and to know, that we will desire to go through whatever we have to go through. We dont have to dread anything with our relationship with the Father. Dont let the enemy ever make you afraid to receive what the Father has for you, or fear anything that you may have to go through to obtain all that you were destined to receive.
