Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.

Well my office survived my first day back. I survived my first day back. Haha. For a Monday, the volume was manageable and the pace at the window was not that big a deal. For me, it was more a mental exhaustion … and I am not sure why, it just was. However, I made it through, and I woke up this morning. That is a good thing.

Thank you for your prayers. God has revealed the start of the story as well as the overall message. I begin writing today at lunch.

Prayer is such a powerful tool, yet we only seem to want to use it on the hard jobs. Prayer is like a well-constructed, indestructible, multipurpose, deliberate power tool that you would use on any job that you are working on. Need a hammer, it is there. Need a screwdriver, it is there. Need an impact for a bolt, it is there. It is a tool with so many functions, but the primary purpose is to finish the job without hurting or straining and to build it correctly.

The world has implanted this notion that we can only use prayer in times of extreme need. Someone is on death’s door, pray. Someone is addicted to whatever, pray. Someone is about to be or is homeless, pray. The world has decided that prayer is only or should only be called upon when the stakes are high. What the world does not want you to know is that there is also a butter knife on that multipurpose tool so that you can butter your bread. There is a bottle top opener so that you can open your water.

Prayer is not a genie, but it is peace. Prayer may not give you instant substance, in that you want to win today’s lottery, and you do, but it will give you peace of mind and clarity. Prayer is not a freeze tag button for the evil in the world, but it is a shield so that you can walk through the dark hallways.

Many times we are told in scripture that the trials of this world are His battles, and we are His soldiers. The battles are different in size and nature. Such as, one of my customers was having a rough day, she needed a hug…I provided. Victory. Sometimes physical contact is not needed, just a presence. Many abductions have been quelled by the simple presence of another person too close for comfort. You have been the answer to other’s prayers without even knowing it.

Do not sideline your multipurpose tool…prayer. We are told to pray continuously … that does not mean spend 24hours a day on your knees, which means to talk to Him throughout the day and lean on His strength. We all need it.

Today I will endeavor to speak more to the path God has placed me on for solutions and less on the problems. The problems slap you in the face; however, the problems will not solve themselves in Victory, only he can do that.

Be blessed today my friends.

*** Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. – 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
