Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.

WOW. I am not sure why I was blessed with such an exceptional night’s sleep, but I was so comfortable and even woke up without the typical morning congestion. I feel great.

Do you remember when you were a kid, and you walked into your grandparents’ house, and they were playing music that they liked or even your parents? My mom had this fascination with this musical called Camelot. She would play her record when she was cleaning. Oh, how I did not like that noise. It was not music. To me at the time … it was noise. Irritating noise at that.

In the past few years, I have grown a fondness for instrumental music. It started with harp music to help me sleep, now I am listening to violin and cello music. Something about the bow gliding across the strings gives the vibe of peace. I have no idea what the pieces are that they are playing, but the precision in which they place my headspace is spot on.

I am not a talented musician. I cannot recite pieces of excellence. Short of Bach and Beethoven I could name any classical musicians … I would probably recognize the names but this is not something in my wheelhouse. My point is this, God as taken something that I am not good at and made it my peaceful place.

Just as he pulled sinners in to be His disciples, thumbing his nose at the religious leaders, he had found the most unlikely way to correct my internal struggles … instrumental string and piano music … to reset my mindset on Him and his purpose. Today look at the misplaced things in your life and see if it might just be God using the uncommon or unlikely circumstance to settle your peace back to Him.

Be blessed today my friends.

***Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. – Psalm 34:14
