Revelation 22:11-12,
He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.'

Which side will you be on when the pronouncement is made? Will you still be sinning, and therefore REMAIN IN SIN, and receive the just reward of the lake of fire, and the second death? Or will you have gained the victory over sin through Jesus Christ, and receive the just reward of eternal life?

2 Timothy 2:19 ...'Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.'

John 8:11 ...'And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.'

Let us look at the example of the Hebrew slaves in Egypt. What did God do for those Hebrews? He delivered them FROM slavery, in Egypt by His mighty power. But what did many of God's people do in the wilderness?

They grumbled at the simple diet (manna), and holy lifestyle God was leading them into, and wanted to go back to Egypt (Numbers 14:4). These lost their lives in the wilderness and never entered the promised land. Egypt was a type of the world, that we are all born into, as slaves to sin. The sacrifice that Christ made for us, and His Spirit that He gives us sets us free FROM sin, and the world, to live holy lives unto God.

But many professed Christians are not happy with the simply, holy, healthful life, that God wants for us, and are holding onto the world, and sin, just like the Hebrews of old who were not able to enter the promised land, (a type of the heavenly canaan). This is such an important lesson to learn.

Friends, a time is coming soon when the door of mercy to sinners will shut forever. Just like in the days of Noah, when God shut the door to the ark, and the people outside did not realize that probation for them had come to an end. You see, if we continue in sin, and just accept the mainstream view that we cannot live sin free lives in Jesus, then we become the kind of people the apostle Paul warned us about in 2 Timothy:

2 Timothy 3:1-5 ...'This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.'

Do you see what the problem is here? It is LOVE OF SELF. This is what caused Adam and Eve to fall in the first place. This is what caused Lucifer to fall, and what traps the world AND the churches in sin! SELFishness! We look to self, instead of looking to Jesus Christ.
