Last night, March 1, 2025… I attended the Elevation Worship concert with Pastor Steven Furtick at the Scotia Bank Arena in Toronto.
I will tell you that as a senior I loved the words to a lot of the music, although the music itself did not resonate within me as it is geared towards a much younger generation, (this doesn’t apply to the song that I have posted) but what was amazing… So amazing and wonderful!!!… Was this was a pretty much sold out concert and probably at least 95% of them were young believers!
I had what I called a nosebleed seat way up under the rafters, but to look out over the people that were gathered and filled that whole arena, lighting up their phones and holding lights up, and those hands raised to the heavens, 16,000+ strong worshipping Jesus!! And it wasn’t just young ones, although the average was probably anywhere between 14 and 30, but there was seniors like me and parents that I brought their children and it was so amazing. And when they began to sing, and they began to worship you could feel the very presence of God there in their midst.
So although we may not always approve, God knows what he’s doing and he is drawing this young generation to Himself!
And as most of us know, once God captures a heart and draws that heart to himself, he changes all the things in them little by little tohis very image! So it doesn’t matter what I think or whatever anyone else thinks, it’s all about Him…
As I sat here I wrote this, the tears stream down my face when I think of all the different stories, all the different lives of the people that were there last night and how God has touched them and what it was like to stand in a family of 16,000 voices strong! Shouting the name of Jesus over and over, the tears running down their faces! Such an outpouring of love and worship to their Saviour and Lord.
This is one of their YouTube videos. It is not from the concert last night, but I wanted to share something. My videos were not that great since I was so high up in the seats.
