In pursuing the desired future, one needs vision. When we have a vision of our goal, it changes everything about how we think and act. Our dreams give birth to passion, and our passion pushes us to persevere. The Apostle Paul had a clear and very powerful vision: to press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. To him, this was not just any prize; it was his driving force and ultimate purpose in life. This vision drove Paul to persevere through different hardships, violent persecutions, and severe spiritual oppositions yet remain strong and steadfast in his faith. His vision and passion were not self-propelled but fueled by the certainty of God's love and word.

As Christians, our walk isn’t just about survival but about pressing forward to Christ with a clear sense of purpose and overflowing passion for pursuing the vision God has given us. Whether in our career, relationships, church ministry, missions, or other opportunities to serve God and others, we put a premium on the passion to pursue Christ's passion. May we focus on the goal and not allow worldly distractions to sway us away from running toward Christ, just as Paul did. Keep pressing forward!

Lord Jesus, thank You for giving us vision and the strength to focus on pursuing You. Help us to see Your vision clearly and steer away from distractions that will slow us down or stop us from running after You. We are committed to running this race and pressing toward our high calling in Christ Jesus. Amen.
