I know someone needs this.
You can stand by faith all day long, but if the Father didn’t lead you to the decision to stand by faith in any situation, then your faith is in your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).
I’m going to be completely transparent how I presented myself to be standing faith in the Word, but it turns out I was walking in pride (Proverbs 16:18)
Almost 6 months ago, [I] made the decision to walk away from doing dialysis, because I was standing on the fact that I believed by faith that I was healed.
Let me stop right here, and make a statement. The Father can heal and restore anything that is attacking your body with sickness and disease, this a fact. Nothing is impossible with Him (Matthew 19:26)
When [I] made the decision to stop dialysis, I did not have one symptom relating to kidney disease. I did however contract pneumonia and as a result my kidneys were scraping the bottom (the doctors words) and were functioning at around 10%.
I literally thought that I was going to die before going to the hospital, and I’m convinced that I probably would have if I hadn’t gone.
I can say that the Father brought me through it, and I was placed back on dialysis. Now some would ask about my faith; and why did the Father not honor my faith?
The truth is, He did honor it for awhile, but after my recovery, the Father said to me; did I tell you to stop dialysis or did you make that choice?
He told me that He never told me to stop. The fact was, I was leaning unto my own understanding about faith, and He allowed me to experience suffering, so that I would seek His will and not mine concerning faith.
Paul was told when He went to the Father about the thorn in his flesh, that The Father’s grace was sufficient for Him (Romans 12:9). The Father told Paul that His strength was made perfect in his weakness.
What was Pauls response?
Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong (Romans 12:10).
We can stand by faith with all of our heart, and not seek the Father’s will, causing us to fall short and miss the mark.
Faith is a gift from the Father for us to trust Him no matter how we feel, the circumstances that we deal with or even the reports that we receive.
To me, faith says, Father if you want me to do it or have it, I will, if you don’t then I won’t, but I’m good knowing that its your will and that your grace is enough for me.
The prayer that the Father answers 100% of the time is, not my will but your will be done. Faith says, Father I trust you, whether I receive what I want, what I think I need or not.
You see, the Father has a plan for everything thing you go through, He sees the end from the beginning, so He makes sure His plan will bring Him glory through your life experiences. He knows the things that are good for you, that would be bad for you or that would draw you away from His presence. He also knows what it takes for you to grow by stretching your faith.
Let faith be in the Father’s will for your life more than what He can do for or give you, for that is true faith.
