What's on my mind today is that some in the body of Christ have been taught that you can manipulate God by fasting and prayer well I want to highlight what fasting and prayer is actually all about for the believer
It ,is my understanding that fasting does not cause God to move but it calls you to get closer to God" means that while fasting itself doesn't force God to act in a certain way, it is a spiritual practice designed to intentionally draw you into a deeper relationship with God by focusing your attention and devotion on Him through self-denial.
Key points to remember:
Not about manipulation:
Fasting is not meant to be a way to manipulate God into doing something by depriving yourself of food; it's about aligning yourself with God's will through a dedicated act of humility and seeking His presence.
A tool for introspection:
By abstaining from food, you create space to focus more deeply on prayer, reflection, and examining your relationship with God.
Biblical practice:
Fasting is mentioned throughout the Bible as a way to demonstrate repentance, seek guidance, and express dependence on God. I hope this was helpful to someone God bless!
