Day 7: Job 14-16 highlights both how brief human life is and the deep longing for hope amid suffering. Job acknowledges that life is fragile and filled with trouble, but he still desires God’s mercy and redemption. He struggles with feeling unheard, but he declares, "Even now my witness is in heaven; my advocate is on high." This foreshadows Jesus, our ultimate advocate before God. We can take comfort in knowing that God sees our pain, understands our struggles, and has provided Jesus as our mediator. Even when we don’t fully understand His plans, we can trust that He is sovereign, compassionate, and always near to those who seek Him.
