Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.

What a wonderful day that He has given us. My husband and I are on a little runaway and it has been a truly delightful escape. We do have a destination, but we have taken our time and enjoyed the scenery. We have stopped and looked through a couple of different antique shops and found some very interesting pieces of history. I also learned that Missouri has hills…who knew. Haha.

I know that this was a very necessary trip for my husband and I, because it has allowed us to be childlike again. We have had the most fun with funny voices and teasing each other. We have enjoyed the conversations and time together. There has not been this “we are in the same room but on our phones”, it has been a husband and wife enjoying whom they fell in love with. The playful nature of life. Thank you Jesus.

We have a rule when we drive, that if we can get it where we live, then we cannot stop there. Let me tell you, that makes for some good adventure. Yesterday we had some awesome BBQ at a place called Banderas. The décor was rustic and they used wash basins for lights. The hotel restaurant was fun, but their food was not as good. We stopped at a Wally’s which is like Buc-ces, as I understand it. We will be trying a Buc-ces sometime today I think.

Whether it is a drive to get away or just a long walk, make time to decompress. Take time to enjoy the silence. There is a song called It is Well With My Soul. That song is the perfect explanation for peace. When we allow the Holy Spirit to calm our soul, the peace is inexplicably wonderful. These drives that we take or runaways, are just what the Spirit ordered for us to become one with our souls once again. Take … MAKE time to reconnect. Do not allow the world to demand so much … peace within is how we are going to persevere and eventually overcome the chaos.

Be blessed today my friends.
