"While Ezra was praying and confessing, weeping and throwing himself down before the house of God, a large crowd of Israelites—men, women and children—gathered around him. They too wept bitterly. "
Ezra 10:1

Your leadership is needed.

God has always commissioned the righteous men who will stand firmly in His name to lead those to do the same.

And it works both ways.

Earlier in Ezra 9, the scripture stated how intermarriage had taken place (something God forbade the Israelites to do) because the leaders and officials led by partaking in it themselves.

When Ezra heard of this, he was so appalled and distraught that he pulled out all his hair on his head and face. Next, he prayed to the Lord one of the most sincere prayers of the Old Testament.

As a result, people began to follow this man of God in prayer and repentance, turning from their illegitimate families and back to God.

Jason, you are called to do the same thing in your home.

Set the tone of prayer and passionate pursuing of God so that your family will follow.

Let your heart for God be evident in all that you do, be it the workplace, gym, online, or in your local spaces.

God doesn't need you; He wants to use you. He wants you to want to be used by Him.

This is the type of godly man these times require...

And this is the type of godly man you have been called to be.

"Lord, I accept your call of leadership on my life today. I will model first for my family how you have called to lead then the public spaces I have been called to. I understand my purpose as a man of God and I offer my life to be used as you please. Continue to guide my heart and mind that I may lead beyond my natural desire and understanding. Even more, that the result of my leadership be souls saved and lives changed through the redemptive power of your Word. In Jesus name I pray, Amen."
