Trusting God with What He’s Given Me
Today, as I reflect on Matthew 25:15, I realize something powerful—God gives me exactly what I need, in the right measure, at the right time. He doesn’t overwhelm me with more than I can handle, nor does He shortchange me. He entrusts me with responsibilities, gifts, and opportunities according to my ability.
But here’s the real question: Am I being faithful with what He has given me?
It’s easy to look around and compare. Some people seem to have “five talents”—they have more resources, more influence, more success. Others might seem like they’ve been given less. But the truth is, God isn’t measuring my life against anyone else’s. He’s simply asking me, “Will you be faithful with what I’ve given you?”
Maybe my gift is small right now. Maybe my calling feels insignificant compared to someone else’s. But that’s not the point. The point is stewardship—taking what God has placed in my hands and using it for His glory.
God, I don’t want to bury what You’ve given me out of fear, doubt, or comparison. I want to be faithful. If You’ve given me one talent, I will invest it. If You’ve given me five, I will multiply it. My job is not to control the outcome but to trust You with the process.
Lord, today I choose to embrace what You’ve entrusted to me. I lay aside comparison and fear, and I step forward in faith. Help me to be faithful with the portion You’ve given me, knowing that when I am, You will entrust me with more.
I may not have everything, but I have enough—because You have given me exactly what I need. And that is more than enough.
