One of my favorite things to splurge on is a can of salted mixed nuts. I like nuts of all kinds; peanuts, almonds, cashews, pecans, pistachio, walnuts, and my two favorites are macadamias and brazil nuts. Now, although I called all those things nuts, most of them are not nuts at all but seeds, and peanuts are a legume, which is a seed grown underground. Now to me that really doesn’t matter since I like them all, and most of us normally call all these delicious items nuts.

Now the world would probably say the church is full of nuts, and truth be known we do have a few. However, most of us are not nuts but seeds. We can reproduce and bear much fruit. God places a lot of emphasis on us bearing fruit and reproducing for the Kingdom of God. Some of us have soft shells, some hard, some of us are small and others larger; but we all have the wondrous power to grow and produce. Let’s make sure that though some may call us a nut, we act like a seed. The church is much healthier when it is full of productive seeds and not religious nuts.

John 15:5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

Mark 4:20 Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop—some thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times what was sown.

2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
