Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.

We got us a storm last night. I slept like a baby as the wind rocked up against the house. It was as though I was in a slightly moving cradle. Deep soothing whispers of my Father’s voice in the sound of the wind telling me that all was find and to sleep tight. Oh, did I ever. Really did not want to get up this morning … if I am being honest.

Today is a day that I have dedicated to finding my house and working on my stories. I will at some point take a walk and invite you to join me. The sun is shining in my window and inviting me out. My body is saying you still have half a cup of coffee to finish, and you need to try some breakfast.

In my writings, those who know Christ can see him, but those who do not know Him are seemingly floored when he is revealed. For my latest competition, that I almost did not do, the overall theme is Destination Unknown with the understanding that this theme is because of the added twists each week to work into the story. One of the twists already revealed is ‘one of the main characters cannot speak audibly.’ Well mix me some brownie mix and call me yum. You just handed me Willy Wonka’s golden ticket. I started last night and am 1500 words into it. The neat part of this competition is that there is no word limit, just keep it in the realm of a short story…I am liking this. And I wasn’t going to do it.

Remember that old saying you make plans, and you do it God’s way anyway…haha.

How many times have you encountered a situation you were led to do only to ‘feel’ it was not right, or you were not ready, then … you found yourself knee deep in it for God’s purpose. Many times you don’t even know how you got there, because you were sure that this was not for you. Remember, if God locks a door … no one can open it. Just as importantly, if He OPENS a door…no one can close it.

I was willing to walk away from this story time because the first line that was required did not inspire a story in my head. It was a free competition so I would not be out anything, and I could focus on the book. Then the first twist came. I was driving down a side road in town and just as they announced the twist, the light turned red. I audibly said, “Well now. Did you just hand me a golden nugget or what?” The light turned green and went on, but since that day, different ideas have rushed through my head. My will was to do nothing. His will was for me to tell His story. Hmmm.

In retrospect, I believe that the enemy had a feeling that this was coming, and he did not want me to be a part of planting anymore seeds. He wanted me to change fields and hopefully get lost in the shadows. Oops. That did not happen. I sincerely look forward to writing this story and presenting it in God’s glory.

Do not think that you cannot do something because it does not feel right. Go to Him and ask for guidance, then look at the signs that he gives. They are there; you just have to be willing to see them.

Be blessed today my friends.

***Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. – -Matthew 7:7-8
