"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” – Revelation 21:4-5

As we age, it’s easy to notice how things begin to change—our bodies, our energy, and even the world around us. We long for the days when we felt vibrant, carefree, and untouched by the weight of life’s struggles. But the beauty of being a follower of Jesus is the hope we have in Him—a hope that promises everything will one day be restored.

Revelation 21:4-5 reminds us of the glorious future God has prepared for His children. The pain, sorrow, and decay of this world are temporary. One day, God Himself will wipe away our tears, and the brokenness of this life will give way to the joy of eternity. We won’t just be as happy and whole as we were as kids—we’ll be made completely new, living in perfect harmony with our Creator. What a day of rejoicing that will be!

So, as we face the challenges of growing older, let’s hold tightly to this promise of restoration. Let’s live with joyful expectation, knowing that our best days aren’t behind us—they’re ahead, in the eternal presence of our loving Savior.
