Evening, March 17th

Read: 1 John 2:1-2

John wants to stop even one bad thing from happening to the people he loves. He is worried because he knows that Satan can use even one bad thing to make us give up and lose hope. We need to know that we have a Savior who will save us and protect us. He paid the price to buy us back, sent His Spirit to help us overcome the power of sin, and will talk to the Father and ask Him to forgive and strengthen us.

Prayer

Father, When I sin, I am ashamed of how weak and weak-willed I am. Even when I feel bad about myself, I'm glad Jesus gave me a way back into Your holy presence. Jesus, I'm so glad You saved me and fought for me. When I fall, I won't let Satan keep me down i will get back up, through my faith in You. And, I promise that I will again live my life for You, with Your values, and for Your glory. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
