Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.

This week is a game of Tetris for sure with the schedule. The enemy is determined to create such chaos that I absolutely lose my mine again. The nonsense started last week with a doctor’s appointment change at the last minute, but after accounting for that we were on a manageable schedule. Yesterday went off without too big of a hitch and everything got done. Fast forward to God’s reward to me for not losing my temper.

I was cooking dinner when we got a phone call from another dr office explaining that they needed to change our appointment. At this point, especially after the last couple of changes, my blood started to stir. However, it quickly settled, and things worked out that my Tetris levels in the schedule have been eased and with just that one phone call, I knocked out a couple of rows from the top to give me breathing room.

God watched me march forward in the midst of this scheduling nightmare, determined to keep my promises, and uphold obligations; then opened the door for some fresh air and relief.

Many times life gets turned into such knots that we cannot tell up from down. Those times tend to either bring out our worst side, or our silliest side to cope with the stress. In my case, it brought out the … “it is what it is” side which is neither happy nor sad…just there. I was able to zone out the issues that did not pertain to me or my job and press on. When asked certain questions my response was “not my problem”. It is pretty callous answer in one sense, but in another it was me having wisdom. There are things in this life I can change with my choices. There are things in this life that I cannot change with my choices. Then there is the wisdom to recognize the difference and the importance of recognizing the difference.

When your personality is like mine and you want to fix everything, you tend to have a blurred line of responsibility and capability. Through this last week of planning I was also able to maintain an open line of communication with all parties involved, but most importantly…my prayer life began to focus on what He wanted from me. Particularly this week and the game of Tetris I was playing. At some point He said, ‘well done’ and knocked out a few rows for me so that I could breathe.

If you are walking through a mine field right now in life. Not knowing where your next step should be. Stop where you are. Take a breath. Do it again…a deep hearty full set of air in your lungs kind of breath. Tune out the world. Put your Holy Spirit muffs on. Then…go to Him in prayer and talk to him genuinely. Let him know that you are on board with his plan and that you are not moving until He gives you direction. Then … let Him lead. (that is the hard part by the way).

Be blessed today my friends.
