Morning, March 18th
Read Jonah 2:1-2
Jonah was stubborn, disobedient, and only cared about himself. He had run away from God. He didn't do what the Lord told him to do.
People on the ship where he tried to hide were in danger because of him. But even when he was being very bad, God heard his cry and saved him. If you are disobedient or trying to hide a secret, all-consuming sin, please know that the Lord wants to bring you back and save you just confess and repent of those bad things in your life, and God will forgive you.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9
Coming back to the Lord won't be easy, but it will lead to redemption and freedom in the end.
Prayer
Father, you are holy and righteous. Please forgive me when I go against your will. Help me recognize those times and give me the strength to resist those temptations. In your grace, dear Father, please not only help me live the way you want me to live, but also lead me to someone who needs to hear about your grace and redemption. Please use me to help them break free from sin and shame. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
