BE A BLESSING
Blessed be the . . . God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction.
2 CORINTHIANS 1:3–4
Do you realize that God formed you to be a blessing to others? He absolutely did. In fact, even the things you’ve been through in life can be a source of great encouragement to believers who are struggling. They can see they’re not alone in their trials when they witness how God successfully got you through yours. That in itself is incredibly comforting.
The issue isn’t if you can be a blessing; it’s if you will tell others how faithful God has been to you. You don’t have to be a theologian; all you need is to start right where you are in your own quiet time. What are you struggling with, and how is the Lord teaching you through it? Because when you comfort others from your own struggles, it’s very personal and powerful. God will speak through you in ways you can’t imagine.
So open your eyes to opportunities, your heart to others, and your mouth to all Jesus has done. You’ll be astounded at how the Lord works through your faithfulness.
Jesus, I want to be a blessing to others. Give me the words that exalt You and comfort them. Amen.
My hope is in Jesus because He turns my trials to triumphs!
