MARCH 24

A CROSSROAD OF FAITH

When we obey him, every path he guides us on is fragrant with his loving-kindness and his truth.
PSALM 25:10 TLB

What can you do when you get close to receiving what your heart longs for, but then the door gets shut? The job you wanted is given to another. The relationship you were so excited about ends. The cure that was supposed to help instead causes more issues. It can leave a soul depressed and questioning.

When this happens, realize that you’ve come to an important crossroad in your faith—a crucial decision that will shape your life. You can grow either bitter or better. You can either get angry and walk away from God—or accept His will and acknowledge that He knows best for you.

Friend, don’t give up on the One who saved you—not for anything. If Christ has shut this door, it’s for a good reason (Romans 8:28). He gave His life for you and always strives to give you the absolute best (Romans 8:32). So let go and trust Him. You may not understand His reasons at the moment, but eventually you will. And no doubt, you’ll be grateful for the wisdom and love He’s shown on your behalf.

Jesus, I don’t understand, but I will trust You, knowing You always lead me in the best way. Amen.

My hope is in Jesus because He leads me in loving-kindness and truth.
