This is for someone thats been praying about a need but hasn’t seen it being met. Dont be discouraged, I some good news!
When you have a need, the Father said that He already knew about it before you even asked (Matthew 6:8).
I believe that if we are specific with our request to the Father about our needs, then you give Him the substance of your faith to work with. Take a look at Hebrews 11:1
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
The definition of the word substance is:
the real physical matter of which a person or thing consists and which has a tangible, solid presence ( your faith produces the tangible presence of your need).
In the Greek, the word translated as "substance" is "hypostasis.” This word can mean "foundation," "support," or "confidence." Faith is seen as the foundation or assurance upon which our hopes are built.
Philippians 4:19 promises us that our need will be me:
“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
When you truly have a need, the Father desires you to have hope by faith to bring that need Hes’s promised into existence.
So, how are we to approach the Father concerning our needs. We know we don’t deserve our needs being met, but the Word tells us in Hebrews 4:16
“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
Notice it says: to “find grace to help in time of need.” We are to come to the Father as His sons and daughters [boldly] with our needs. Since He know already knows before we ask, that says to me, that He is waiting for us to come to Him with our needs.
So, we are to come boldly to the throne of grace, but we miss it many times by offering up a ‘shotgun’ prayer concerning what we have need of. What do I mean by that?
It’s when we go to the Father, about our need, but aren’t specific about it. Have you ever asked the Father to meet a need like this? Father, I need a car, or a place to live or a bill to be paid? So, whats missing?
When the Father wants to meet your need, He wants to meet it in a way that there is no doubt by you or anyone else that He did it, so He will get the glory. He doesnt want anyone to think you received it by luck or coincidence.
This brings me to what was revealed to me by the Spirit. When you have a need (there is a difference between a want and a need), the Father wants you to be as specific as you can about the need that you are requesting. When you begin to stand by faith, on the specific details of your need, then when it is manifested, there will be no one who can say anything but, that had to be God.
He gets the glory, because it will be known that the Father met that need according to your description.
You went boldy to the throne, you were specific about the detals (thats not pride), then He will delight in providing your need in the way that you desribed, so He will get the glory by bringing His promise to pass.
What do you have need of? Be specific about the details, stand by faith until that need is met, then declare it to the world!
Remember, He already knows the details, He’s already promised it to you, and He will relese it by your details as you stand by faith.
