There is a refining fire
There is a refining fire upon the altar of my heart, and everything that is presented to God must first go through it.
In other words, everything that I present to God must be considered holy and pure.
No blemishes. That includes my time, my energy, my effort and all else. My life and everything in it must go through that fire. Whatever does not make it through that fire needs to go.
Because I don’t want to stand before God and have to give an account for all the false and blemished things that I presented to Him! I want to give God my all, at all times. And as we look at Abel, who gave God his sacrifice and it was acceptable to our Lord, imagine how much more it is that we present our own life as a living sacrifice to God having been made pure by the blood of the lamb. Jesus Christ!
I believe that there is an alter within each and every one of our hearts, that we as Christians build for God and present to Him. And there is a fire that must remain that burns up everything ungodly. I pray that this message will give you an understanding of the scope to which we must present ourselves to God.
