Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.

Can you believe that March is almost over? This year is on a skateboard headed down an incline. Some days it feels like it has plateaued out, other days it feels like a seventy-five-degree downgrade, and you need to hang on to your hat.

For instance, with me, I have my family responsibilities that are increasing and my work responsibilities (no brainer, everyone has these). We add to this the competition pieces where I take the prompts they give me and stretch them to the edge of who/what they are and make them godly. Then we place the book situation into the mix of things. Now my question in this this little bit of me … where is my worship and prayer time in this?

Where have I made it a point to spend time with God? Where have I put Him first?

If you really stop and think about it, just in that little bit of sharing, I haven’t.

Last night at bible study I realized that I am working autopilot. I am doing the cliff notes version of the study. I am doing the bare minimum daily to get by. The days that I ‘do’ put Him first, are the best days. They run at a moderate pace, one that even I can keep up with without losing my mind. The days, which there are more of them, where I run on autopilot, one minute it is 8 and the next it is time to go home the next it is bedtime. Unfortunately, there are more or (those) days than I would care to admit.

This is unsettling for me. I want to be better than this. I want to be more godly than this. I want Him to know that I could not do any of this without him and he know that it is from my heart. Mostly, I want me to know that I could not do any of this without Him and know that it is from my heart. I want to show him in my actions and my words that He is my world.

Yes, I know that he already knows my heart. That is not the point. The point is that I don’t always know my heart and when I don’t know my heart, I find it hard to believe that He does. As strong believer and follower, I too struggle with certain things; however, what I always can fall back on in those times … His promises. In order to always know those promises, I must be willing to seek those promises. Where are those promises? In the Word. How do you find them? Read and pray. And ……………… receive. This is one of the areas I struggle with when I go on autopilot.

So, today…today I will focus on my devotions on the way in to work. I will fix a song in my head for praise. I will seek His face in conversation. I will take time each day to spend time with him. I will not allow the enemy to penetrate my armor. I will ensure that it is properly secured. They say it takes 30 days to create a habit…today is day one. Will you join me?

Be blessed today my friends.

***And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified, those he justified he also glorified. – Romans 8:28-30
