Psalm 103:10 reminds us, “He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities.”
So often I hear commercials for law firms that say, “Let us get you what you deserve!” I don’t know about you, but I’m glad God doesn’t give us what we deserve! His grace is given to those who follow Jesus, and for that I am eternally thankful! In a world that often celebrates justice as “getting what you deserve,” it’s humbling to consider how God deals with His children. If we were to receive what we truly deserve because of our sins, it would be condemnation and separation from Him. But instead, through His immeasurable grace, He offers us forgiveness, mercy, and love.
Romans 8:1 declares, “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Because of Jesus’ sacrifice, we are no longer subject to the wrath of God. Instead, we stand in His grace, receiving far more than we could ever earn and far better than we deserve.
Take a moment to reflect: How often do we take this grace for granted? Do we live in gratitude for what God has spared us from, as well as for the abundant blessings He pours into our lives? His grace should move us to humility, worship, and a life that reflects His mercy to others.
Have a great day, and as always, let others see Jesus in you!
