Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.

In this competition that I am writing for now, I almost did not even compete in. I mean, it was free, so I wouldn’t be losing anything. The first requirement was that the opening sentence was given to you. That opening sentence gave me nothing for a story line. For a solid week I kicked that around in my head, but nothing hit the wall. I was convinced that this was not my time. However, when the update came for the second twist, or requirement, all of a sudden it was like the Holy Spirit said, “Are you telling me that you cannot do this, or you won’t do this?” The second twist was that one of the main characters could not speak. Literally instantly a flood of ideas came to mind. The third twist was a technical one on sentence structure … no sentence can start with a conjunction. I was like, okay … there aren’t that many. FYI, I was wrong. Haha. That is going to take a minute to fix; and I only checked the first half that I had completed. Yesterday they gave us the final requirement…the last sentence of the story. I read the sentence and felt like I was Charlie from Willy Wonka.

The first completed draft is done and has been half-way edited. After this edit, I will throw it into their program to find all the sentences that I will have to rewrite because of conjunctions. I am eager to see this story finalize.

How many times in our lives have we been given a nugget or an idea or a desire to do something and before we even get started, we quit? I would like to say it has only been a few times in my life, but that would be a great big fib. Many times a thought will cross my head, and I will challenge if it is from God…which is good, but I take it for a ride then a hike then a swim … testing its stamina. Many times … through the testing process, I forget the original assignment, thusly the task that was put before me. In the processes of ‘testing’ the thought for its origin, I lose an opportunity to show God’s glory. If I am going to be honest, a lot of those times is because I do not want the judgement of society. That is the sad truth.

Today I would like to pray for you. That the godly links that appear in your mind, not turn into obstacles but blessings.

Father God, I come to you this morning with a discerning prayer for wisdom. Father, I pray that all who are gathered through this page will receive Your Word of encouragement, Your Word of strength, Your Word power, Your Word of Love. I pray Lord that they will click your heavenly link, without hesitation and take a bold stand for mission you have set before them. We know that it can be as simple as a hug or as in-depth as cultivating soil. We are a stubborn souled people when it comes to image in the world’s eyes, break that bond in us and may we be willing to serve instantly. We thank you for the many blessings that You have provided us, promised us, and delivered to us. May we make you proud of us in our servanthood today. In Jesus name, Amen.

Be a fierce warrior today my friends and be blessed.

***Praise the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, you are very great; you are clothed with splendor and majesty. – Psalm 104:1
