One of the greatest tactics of the adversary has never been to outright deny worship but to distort it—to make people think they are following Yehovah when, in reality, they are following man-made traditions, false doctrines, and even outright pagan influences disguised as biblical truth.

This is not a new strategy. Since the beginning, HaSatan has twisted Yehovah’s instructions, from the deception in the Garden (“Did God really say…?” – Genesis 3:1) to the idolatry of Israel in the wilderness. The golden calf was not an attempt to worship a different god—it was an unauthorized way of worshipping Yehovah (Exodus 32:4-5). The people thought they were honoring Him, but they were actually engaging in false worship.

Yeshua Himself warned of this deception:
"You have set aside the commands of God in order that you may validate your own tradition." – Mark 7:9

Many people today sincerely believe they are following the Bible, but when their practices are examined under the lens of Scripture alone, they reveal the influence of traditions, church councils, and religious systems that altered Yehovah’s commandments. This is why Yehovah constantly calls His people back to the truth:

➡ "Come out of her, My people!" – Revelation 18:4
➡ "Do not learn the way of the nations." – Jeremiah 10:2
➡ "If you love Me, keep My commandments." – John 14:15

Sincerity does not equal truth. Just because something feels right or is done by the majority does not mean it aligns with Yehovah’s instructions. Broad is the way that leads to destruction (Matthew 7:13).

The question we must always ask is: Are we worshipping Yehovah the way HE commands, or the way WE prefer? The adversary wants people to believe the two are the same, but Scripture tells us otherwise.

Test everything. Hold fast to what is good. – 1 Thessalonians 5:21
