Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.
The fourth book has been a work in progress for nearly a year now. I was moving right along, then the path stopped. I had several ideas on the direction, but none of them seemed to be the correct one. I went back to it on multiple occasions however, no words came, no direction. It was at that moment that I put it on the back burner and thought there must be someplace else I am supposed to be in my writing and my walk. When I talked to people about the other books, I would always end with “the next one is in my computer;” however, in my mind I was not sure when it would ever escape my computer. The book was silent.
Contest after contest came and went. I worked in other avenues to use my talent to spread His word. I planted seeds in areas that the world did not see coming. I opened the eyes of judges to another world, a heavenly world. How long they were opened or how well the seed planted is not for me to know. That is for the Father. But he was molding me to release my arrogance and ego in each of the writings. I do try to stay grounded, however, knowing that my work is improving, and the message is solid, my ego wants at least an honorable mention.
I believe that is why He has pulled me off the next book and placed me in competition land. He is humbling me to realize that I need to get out of his way and let Him do his thing. I also believe that my incredibly busy schedule in my personal life is Him telling me that I need to rely on him more. I thought that I had dumped my whole soul in his lap, but apparently, I am hanging onto something.
All that being said, yesterday after completing three days of bible study and several inspirational videos, God blessed me with another chapter to the book. Then he blessed me last night before bed with yet another chapter. This direction is not even close to the direction of a few months ago. It is so much better and easier to see.
I believe that God put me in a writer’s time out on the book, so that he could show me more. So that I would respond and understand more. So that I would exercise my spirit more and allow him to guide me.
In my devotions, videos, and studies yesterday…there was a component that popped up that struck a chord with me. In all my attempts to spread the word, educate the world, and be His disciple … I began to lose my first Love. So, He reeled me back in. In the middle of the reeling we do not always see what he is doing, but once we get back to the fishing pole, it is very clear.
While you are out spreading the Good News, don’t lose yourself in the sharing and forget about watering your own seed. It is so especially important to stay hydrated in the Word.
Be blessed today my friends.
