DIRECTION AND PURPOSE
Live freely, animated and motivated by God’s Spirit. Then you won’t feed the compulsions of selfishness.
GALATIANS 5:16, THE MESSAGE
In the Christian way we acquire a healthy value system. We find that persons are more important than property. We learn that forgiveness is preferable to property. We learn that forgiveness is preferable to revenge. We realize that worshiping God is more central than impressing our neighbors.
Without values we live “in vain.” If we lose touch with our values, we are at the mercy of every seduction, every inducement, every claim on our money, our energy, our time. Values infuse life with a steady sense of direction and purpose.
