Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.

Several years ago I attended an event called the Great Banquet. If you have not heard of it, it also goes by the name of the Walk to Emmaus. Essentially it is a three-day encounter with God. A very deep and personal encounter with God. No electronics. No watches. No radios. Quiet with God. The weekend begins Thursday night with drop off, I think … might be Friday morning…I have slept since then. Anyway, you get your room and put your stuff away. Over the course of the weekend, you attend thirteen classes with each other and eat like you are on holiday. The food is fantastic and there are always snacks. There are events and group projects/discussions. If I am being honest, it was the best weekend I have ever had.

At first you feel cut off from the world, and that is weird, but that is the point…to be cut off from the world and in touch with God. In my weekend, the enemy was full at work. From the beginning when I almost backed out to the middle of a prayer session when I could feel something wrong. That feeling was so wrong that the lady sitting next to me could feel the battle raging inside me. Through that attack my entire body said to get out, but my feet did not stir. I followed my feet, and I am a stronger disciple because of it.

When the weekend completed, all of the closing speeches included prayer for our day four. WE had just finished three days of peace, tranquility, and unconditional love. Once we left the campus, the enemy was going to hit us all hard. Their prayers were for successful day fours.

Yesterday I was blessed to witness a man give his life to Christ and be baptized. Today is his day one. I know that the enemy will be after him, please join me covering him in prayer for a successful day one. New believers need our support and prayer more than ever. The enemy has his digs in so deep in this world, that followers who were once solid, now have turned to other gods. Stand with me in agreement to protect this new believer.

Father in heaven, I come to you with my brothers and sisters to cover Randy in your holy blessing. He gave himself to you yesterday officially, we know that this will test the enemy’s patience in trying to win him back. I stand here today with a community of believers who are in agreement that You will hear our prayers. It is our prayer Father that Randy is protected from the direct attacks, given discernment for the sideways attacks and feels Your presence as he continues your will on his day one. I pray Father that our prayers of intercession will be the covering that he needs to be successful for You. In Jesus name… Amen.

***Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together I my name, there I am with them. – Matthew 18:19-20
