Corrie ten Boom’s words are a beautiful reminder that true love—the kind rooted in Christ—gives even when it hurts, and in doing so, multiplies. The world says love is only worth giving when it’s easy or returned, but God's love is deeper, sacrificial, and unshakable—even in suffering.

Corrie knew this kind of love firsthand, loving her enemies even from within a Nazi concentration camp. That’s not natural love—that’s supernatural, Christ-centered love.

"And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour."
— Ephesians 5:2, KJV

Christ loved us unto death on the cross. And when His love lives in us, we can love others even when it costs us comfort, pride, or ease. And in that kind of love, something amazing happens—God fills the pain with more of Himself.

When you love until it hurts... the hurt gets swallowed up in more love. Just like Jesus.
So don’t hold back. Love big. Love sacrificially. Love like Jesus.
