James 4:7 says:
“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you”
99% of believers think James 4:7 is saying this when the enemy is attacking you - as I paraphrase - “satan, enemy, demon/s etc, in the name of Jesus depart from / leave me” and he will flee from you
Wrong answer
James 4:7 is only saying and clearly “submit yourselves then to God = meaning your only focus and communication should only be to God when the enemy attacks
James 4:7 is only saying and clearly “resist the devil”. That doesn’t mean have direct communication with the devil
Instead do this when the enemy attacks:
“Jesus, my focus is only on You - You know Lord the enemy is attacking me right now - I’m choosing to only place my trust and focus and direct communication of prayer to You Jesus and by doing so Your Word is clear that the enemy will flee”
Never Do This:
“satan, enemy, demon/s I know you are attacking me right now - in the name of Jesus, I want you satan, enemy, demon/s to be gone in the name of Jesus and flee from me”. By doing this which you should never do, you are communicating directly with the enemy. Never communicate directly with the enemy in any situation
