Morning/ Afternoon, April 12th
Read: Galatians 3:24
Galatians tells us over and over that the law, even the Old Testament Law, can't make us good or save us. But the Law does something very important: it showed us our sinfulness, and brings us to Jesus. The Law tells us what is right and what is wrong. Because of the Law, we see our flaws, mistakes, sins, transgressions, and weaknesses. The Law is the most important reason why we know we need a Savior. Jesus said in John 14: 15, If you live Me keep My commandments. And by keeping it, we show through faith and obedience that we indeed love Him. God's Law is wonderful. Praise God even more because of Jesus!
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You that Your Law was meant to lead me to Jesus. It helps me see how perfect He is. It helps me see how sinful I am. Most of all, it helps me see that His sacrifice gives me something the Law can't: Your righteousness. Father, I believe with all my heart that Jesus came to die for me and give me life. In Jesus' precious name I pray. Amen.
