Easter Message 2025
From the Office of the Patriarch
Worldwide Anglican Church.

Grace and peace to you all in the name of our Risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Beloved in Christ,

“He is not here; He has risen, just as He said". — Matthew 28:6

On this glorious Resurrection Sunday, I greet you with great joy and thanksgiving. Across continents and cultures, languages and traditions, the Church of Jesus Christ gathers in unity to proclaim the greatest truth ever known — Jesus is alive! Death has been defeated, and hope has triumphed over despair.

In a world often marked by pain, injustice, war, and uncertainty in many countries around the world, the Resurrection of Christ remains our anchor and our song. It reminds us that light will overcome darkness, that life will conquer death, and that God’s love has the final word. As the global Body of Christ, we are called not only to celebrate this victory but to live it, boldly and compassionately, every day.

I urge each of you, in your communities and congregations, to continue being beacons of resurrection hope. Let our worship be vibrant, our witness be strong, and our love be genuine. May we not only preach the Resurrection — may we live as people of the Resurrection, bringing healing where there is hurt, truth where there is confusion, and reconciliation where there is division.

To the Bishop and other Church leaders, I thank God for your labor in the Gospel. May the power that raised Christ from the dead strengthen you in every ministry, renew your vision, and encourage your hearts. Continue to shepherd God’s people with humility, courage, and faithfulness.

I encourage our young people around the world not to be afraid but to rise up. Jesus rose so you could walk in freedom, purpose, and identity. Let this be the season you step into God’s calling with boldness and joy.

To the Suffering, the Persecuted, and the Forgotten brothers and sisters in war tone countries, especially in Africa and in the Middle East, the empty tomb is your assurance that God sees you, loves you, and has not forsaken you. The same Jesus who overcame the grave walks with you, even in your darkest valleys. Take heart — your Redeemer lives.

God bless you all.
