Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.

Happy Easter. Happy Resurrection Day. Happy “Thank You Jesus for Coming to Earth and Sacrificing Your Life for Mine.”

This weekend has been different for me. I am not sure why, but it has.

Friday I was very much in tune with the weather. Sunnyish to start with some overcast moments. Toward midafternoon, darkened skies and wind. Evening brought some good to sleep by storms. Throughout the day, until late afternoon, I was in a slump of sorts. By dinner my slump was gone, for the most part.

Yesterday, was overcast with sporadic rain showers. I had a good long lunch with a friend. Then, when we parted, I went shopping only to find that my wallet was missing. I retraced my steps through the store, to my car, called the restaurant…nothing. I apologized to the cashier and left my cart. Even joked that God must not have wanted me to have a food processor and the groceries I chose. Not one time since I lost my wallet, have I felt distressed or even frustrated. Only slightly embarrassed when telling the cashier I was sorry. Then a little weird as I cooked dinner and some of the food, I bought was supposed to be part of dinner … haha. My brain was really confused.

This morning I awoke in a sense of peace that cannot be explained by natural standards. Just like I told my friend yesterday, I must really be doing something right because the enemy is trying to wear me out.

I have a competition piece that is due today…I deleted what I had yesterday because it was not working. I tried writing a poem for service today, the words were not there. I may or may not get something on paper and I am good either way. The enemy has come after me so many times, you would think he would tire of it or be bored of my lack of return effort to stop him.

The Son has risen. He is alive. He died for me. He died for you. The birds are singing His praises. Nothing else matters. Nothing else matters.

Be blessed this Easter Sunday and enjoy the presence of the One who died so that you can live.
