The Importance and glory of the Resurrection 🔹 1. The Resurrection Declares Christ’s Victory Over Death 📖Romans 6:9 “Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.” Christ didn’t just escape death — He conquered it permanently. His resurrection proves death is defeated. 🔹 2. The Resurrection Confirms Jesus who He said He was - The Son of God. 📖Romans 1:4 “And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.” His resurrection is divine validation of His identity. 🔹 3. The Resurrection Is Essential for Our Justification 📖Romans 4:25 “Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.” Jesus' death paid for our sins, His resurrection proves the payment was accepted. It is indeed finished! Without it, we would remain unjustified and dead in our sins. 🔹 4. If Christ Is Not Risen, Our Faith Is Worthless 📖1 Corinthians 15:17 “And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.” Without the resurrection, there’s no power, no hope, and no forgiveness. 📖1 Corinthians 15:19 “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.” Christianity is not a moral code, it is life from the dead and it hinges on a living Savior. 🔹 5. The Resurrection Guarantees Our Future Resurrection 📖1 Corinthians 15:20–22 “But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept... For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.” Christ’s resurrection is a prototype for our own future resurrection. We will be raised because He was raised. 🔹 6. The Resurrection Gives Power for Holy Living 📖Romans 6:4 “even so we also should walk in newness of life.” 📖Philippians 3:10 “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection...” The same power that raised Christ now empowers believers to walk in newness of life. 🔹 7. Because He lives: 🛑Our sins are forgiven, 🛑Our faith is secure, 🛑Our future is bright, 🛑And death has lost its sting. 🛑We are complete in Him Colossians 2:10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: Christ paid a debt He did not owe, so we, who believe, could receive the gift of eternal life that we do not deserve 🙏 You have a choice about where your never-dying soul will spend eternity — in the glory of paradise with Christ, or in eternal torment, burning in the lake of fire.
