Act 2:1-4 NLT 1 On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. 2 Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. 3 Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. 4 And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.

The Bible tells us about the first Christian Revival. We read in the Book of Acts that some of Jesus's disciples were preaching when, all of a sudden, The Holy Spirit came on the scene. The Bible tells us that it looked like fire set on each of the disciples heads. Everyone heard the disciples speaking in their own language. The Holy Spirit did this, so that the disciples could preach the Good News to everyone.

This day was promised in the Old Testament. YHWH (God) promised that everyone that believes in YEHOSHUA (Jesus) will be saved. And everyone who receives the salvation of YEHOSHUA (Jesus) will be given a measure of the same Spirit that gave YEHOSHUA (Jesus) the ability to perform all the miracles that He did. Joe 2:28-30 prophesied that this wonderful gift was not only for the men, but for the wives, sons and daughters. This was not just for the wealthy, but for the slaves as well. And Joe goes on to tell us that this will happen before YEHOSHUA (Jesus) returns to Earth.
Joe 2:28-30 NLT 28 “Then, after doing all those things, I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions. 29 In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on servants — men and women alike. 30 And I will cause wonders in the heavens and on the earth — blood and fire and columns of smoke.

This gift from YHWH (God) is not just for a select few. It is for everyone who accepts YEHOSHUA (Jesus) as their Lord and Savior. This gift is intended for each new disciple to continue the works that YEHOSHUA (Jesus) did and taught us to do. This gift was not for just the day of Pentecost, but for all future generations, until the return of YEHOSHUA (Jesus).

In the Bible, the term "Christian" refers to a follower of YEHOSHUA (Jesus) Christ (The AnointedOne) . The name "Christian" is derived from the title "Christos," which means "anointed one" in Greek, a translation of the Hebrew "Messiah". Essentially, a Christian is someone who believes YEHOSHUA (Jesus) is the Messiah, the Son of YHWH (God), and who follows his teachings and way of life. The very title of Christian means that you are a follower of (Christ) the Anointed One. If you are following the teachings of YEHOSHUA (Jesus) (Christ) The Anointed One, then you should be able to perform ALL the same miracles as He did and even greater miracles. Joh 14:12 NLT “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father." The Holy Spirit was sent to live in you and guide you in the way of The Father that His Only Begotten Son taught us what we must do.

We are not given this gift to make us better Christians, but as better Christians we are give this gift to bring more people into family of YHWH (God). Sometimes we will need to perform a miracle, just like YEHOSHUA (Jesus) did, to make people believe. As people see the Anointing in us, they will be moved with compassion and thus more eager to believe.

We are getting closer to the day YEHOSHUA (Jesus) returns for His family. The hour is getting shorter and shorter. We are not promised forever. NOW IS THE TIME to start acting like a Christian and start moving in the Anointing that our Heavenly Father sent us. Now is the time for revival in your family, your city, your state, and your country. And this revival can only start with you.
