Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.
What another beautiful morning. It is still dark outside, but the music from the robins outside my open window gave me such a boost of blissfulness. I am ready to enjoy what He has instore for me.
Today is another fun filled day of doctor’s appointments. One with my husband and two for mom. Lots and lots of driving. Where some may think that a daunting existence, I consider it an honor.
I have but the upper portion of my desk to finish tidying up and one small tub of papers to file; then my office will be as clean as it ever….ooops…I have the upper part of my desk, a small tote of papers and a stack under the window to be filed, THEN, my office will be as clean as it ever has been. Kind of weird having all this space.
I pulled up the first chapter of the book I recovered from the floppy disk…I want to re-write it so bad. Haha. In the past four years alone, I have learned so much in the writing field that I see so many mistakes or areas of improvement. However, I have decided to just fix the spelling and grammar errors and push forward to having it re-published. That makes three books in the works to try and get published. I am in no race to get them there, I will just put one foot in front of the other and as they complete, I will move forward.
Why would I tell you all this silly nonsense? It is simple really. WE all have silly nonsense in our lives that is important to our daily routine and lives. My silliness is my uber duties, cleaning one room at a time completely (and hopefully NOT destroying another room in the process), and my writing journey. When all of those come at me at once with ‘urgency,’ I can become overwhelmed and wonder how I am ever going to finish anything? (Oh, and let’s not forget sewing in work hours in there. They are important. Haha)
The enemy will take all the little things in life, stack them on top of each other, put a magnifying glass in front of them, and a mirror behind them, causing them to be seemingly insurmountable to conquer. HOWEVER, I am here to tell you that if you keep your eyes on Jesus…not the little silliness, you can wade your way through each task with comfort and without losing your peace. It does take a little practice and patience (mostly with yourself), but it can be done and such a victory when the littlest tasks are completed. Not to mention when one of the big ones is done…like my office. (Just saying, you should have seen it when I started. My daughter told me I was a hoarder. haha)
Today purpose your steps to keeping your eyes on Him. Nothing else. In all your steps and tasks, see only Him. Not the wind. Not the storm. Not the pollen. Not the flies. Not the gnats. Not the mood. ONLY HIM. You will be shocked at the kind of day you will have. I promise.
Be blessed today my friends.
