. Why Association is Spiritually Necessary
Christian association is essential for spiritual survival and growth for several reasons:
A) Encouragement and Strengthening
"But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin." — Hebrews 3:13 (KJV)
The Christian journey is filled with challenges, temptations, and trials. Alone, believers are vulnerable. Together, they are strengthened, corrected, and encouraged.
Isolation breeds discouragement; fellowship breeds hope.
B) Growth in Love and Good Works
"And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works." — Hebrews 10:24 (KJV)
Christian fellowship stimulates spiritual growth. We challenge one another to love better, serve more faithfully, and live more righteously.
A Christian outside of fellowship stagnates; within community, they flourish.
C) Mutual Accountability
"Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed." — James 5:16 (KJV)
Association provides a space for honest confession, prayer, and healing.
We are responsible not only for ourselves but for one another.
