FIVE STEPS TO SALVATION.

1. ADMIT YOU'RE A SINNER.
The first step in reconciliation to God is the conviction of sin. “Sin is the transgression of the law the 10 commandments.” “By the law is the knowledge of sin.” 1 John 3:4; Romans 3:20.
In order to see his guilt, the sinner must test his character by God’s great standard of righteousness. It is a mirror which shows the perfection of a righteous character and enables him to discern the defects in his own.
2. BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST.
ACTS 16:31Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
JOHN 3:36 He that believeth on the son hath everlasting life, and he that believeth not the son shall not see life: but the wrath of God abideth in him."
3. REPENT FROM YOUR SINS.
Transform from your life of sin to God.
MATHEW 4:17From that time Jesus begun to preach, and to say, repent for the kingdom of heaven and is at hand.
ACTS 3:19 Repent ye therefore and be converted that your sins may be blotted out, when the time of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.
4. CONFESS YOUR SINS TO GOD.
1 JOHN 1:9" If we confess our sins , He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to CLEANSE us from all unrighteousness."
ISAIAH 43:25 Ieven I, am he that blotted out thy transgression for mine own sake and will not remember thy sins."
PSALMS 32:5 acknowledge my sin to thee and my iniquity have I not his , I said I will confess my transgression into the Lord: and thou forgavest thee iniquity of my sin.
5. ACKNOWLEDGE JESUS AS YOUR LORD.
ROMANS 10:9- 11That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from dead, thou shalt be saved , for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation: for the scripture saith, Whoesever believeth in him shall not be ashamed."
God's grace will not supply the place of man's co-operation. No amount of light, conviction, or grace can transform the character, only as man shall arouse to co-operate with God. The Holy Spirit puts forth its energies to break the power of Satan's attractions and temptations upon the human mind; but the will must yield, human co-operation must be enlisted, for this is the indispensable condition of salvation. Christ offers Himself as willing to save unto the uttermost all who come unto Him. He invites all to come to Him. “Him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out” (John 6:37).
If you give yourself to Him, and accept Him as your Saviour, then, sinful as your life may have been, for His sake you are accounted righteous. Christ’s character stands in place of your character, and you are accepted before God just as if you had not sinned.
REVELATION 22: 12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
