DIARY OF A SOULWINNER

I remember an event from months back where I was preaching the gospel on the streets of Lekki in Lagos State, Nigeria. I stopped at a store where there were four people seated in front of the store. I preached the gospel to them and got some of them born again.

As I engaged other people along that same street, a woman called out to me from behind. When I turned to look at her, I recognized her from the group of four people that I preached to some moments ago.

She introduced herself and told me that she was into Real Estate Marketing. She then told me that she was impressed at how I struck up a conversation with them and that she felt the need to introduce the Real Estate Marketing business to me, seeing I already have an excellent communication skill.

She told me that I could earn so much money marketing for the company she works for and that I could simply carry the flyers along as I go about my evangelism.

I looked at her and told her that I preach the gospel for a living and that I wouldn't want to take on Real Estate Marketing as a profession.

I told her that I would rather stick to preaching the gospel than use my communication skills to market real estate products.

She insisted that I give it a thought, but I also insisted that my mind was made up about the matter.

I asked her if she was a Christian, and she told me that she was a Christian. So, I asked her if she goes out for evangelism and she told me that it's been a long time since she evangelized. I asked to know why it's been a long time since she last preached the gospel. She told me that she does not have the time to go out for evangelism.

I encouraged her to give herself to the preaching of the gospel just as she has given herself to marketing for a real estate company.

She thanked me for my words and left to continue her marketing business.

The harvest is great, and laborers will no longer be few.
