The Sacrifice at the stream. For over 50 years, the villagers had been struggling to find a reliable source of clean drinking water. When our team arrived with the message of hope and salvation, the Lord opened our eyes to this pressing need. We shared the villagers' burden and prayed for God's provision, and He answered. As we began preparations for drilling, we faced unexpected challenges. The drillers arrived late, and just as we were about to start, we discovered that the villagers had secretly sacrificed a ritual animal, hoping to appease their gods. Despite our team's disappointment, the drilling commenced, but to our dismay, no water was found even after digging 101 meters deeper than expected. Crushed and exhausted, our team retreated to pray and seek God's guidance. Through fervent prayer, God spoke to us, instructing us to change locations and abandon the ritual practices. We obeyed, trusting in His wisdom. Though it meant additional costs, we pressed on, and at the new site, water burst forth at just 60 meters! The villagers' joy was palpable, and we seized the opportunity to share the gospel. We told them of Jesus, who paid the ultimate price for our sins and offers us living water that quenches the thirst of our souls.
