CHOOSING HIS WILL

“Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
MATTHEW 6:10

The Holy Spirit will continue to work in your life until you come to the place where you can say, “Not my will, but Yours be done, Lord. My life is in Your hands. Whatever You want, I’ll do.” God brings us to the point where we can submit every aspect of our lives to Him—our relationships, ideas, feelings, desires, and dreams—knowing He leads us to life at its best.

The Lord’s purpose in this is never to hurt us but to help us accept that His way is exceedingly, abundantly, and overwhelmingly better than ours. Because when we do so, we will have an eagerness and an enthusiasm for doing God’s will—one with the energy, hopefulness, endurance, and faith that moves mountains for the sake of His kingdom.

So do not despise the Lord’s training or resist Him. God’s desire is to mold and refine you so He can work through you. And the challenges in your life have been given because the Holy Spirit understands what it takes to bring you into submission in a way that ultimately builds you up. His goal is to set you free to be who He created you to be—with His wisdom, power, energy, joy, enthusiasm, and vision.

Lord, I want Your will. I know Your way is always exceedingly, overwhelmingly best. Amen.
