Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.

Yesterday, at work when I went to close the windows, I pulled out one of the rolling shelves to get to the window. When I did so, I found all kinds of dirt and dust behind this cart. I reached over to close the window, but the wood frame had swollen in the humidity, and it was stuck. Only about four inches, so no danger of a break in safety issue.

This morning I am having trouble waking up. Yes, my eyes are open, however, I am really wanting to go back to bed. Please bear with me.

As I sit here drinking my coffee looking for the eye tape to keep my eyes in the open position, a picture of that pile of yuck is hovering in my mind. How often do we try to hide things from God?

Adam and Eve tried. Cane tried. Noah tried. David tried. Judas tried. I mean, it’s not like it hasn’t been done in our history. Sometimes we think ‘if I don’t think about it, it will go away’. So we hide it and forget about it. Then it is not until the cart is moved that all that yuck is found and brought to light. Usually it is by someone that you really did not want to know about it.

Hiding or hiding from things does not make them go away. In some cases, the darken areas where you hid them cause them to manifest into something larger. Something messier. Something that makes you want to avoid it anymore. The longer a problem is tucked away, the harder it is to deal with. And it really is never hidden, He sees and knows all.

The enemy will have you believe that keeping it hidden is the right answer and that ‘no one needs to know’. What this does is cause a rip inside your soul. A scratch that you cannot itch. An irritation that pops up at the most inconvenient times. I know this for a fact because I have at least two of those irritations that I must deal with. I keep hoping I can avoid them, but after finding the dust/dirt yesterday He reminded me that he knows.

What do you have tucked away in your closet of thoughts that you believe no one else knows about? What situation are you avoiding because you know the outcome or you believe the outcome will be one way and not the other? What trust did you violate and do not want to face the person? Any number of questions, like these, fit the bill. What are you ‘hiding’ from God?

Today I encourage you to take the first step in pulling out that cart, sweeping up the mess, and mopping it clean. Go to God in prayer and ask him to forgive you and ask him what it is He wants you to do to rectify the situation with him. He will answer, you may not like his answer, but He will answer. When you do come clean with Him, YOU will feel so much lighter and that stronghold that the enemy has on you … it will be gone.

Be blessed today my friends.

***No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. The good an brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks. – Luke 6:43-45
